We maintain close relations with our suppliers and stockists, thus giving us access to a wide range of spare parts from numerous manufacturers. We also keep on the premises a supply of the more typical and commonly required spare parts, for various types of firearms to facilitate a shorter period of reapir for your firearm. However, due to the large number of firearms that are quite old that remain in public hands until today, we cannot always guarantee nor even be sure that there are spare parts available. We do ask that you drop by to really find out though.
BARREL BLUING
The reason your firearm is a dark-bluish color (or at least looked that way once before) is because the barrel and other metal parts are treated with a chemical called Gun Blue, that turns chrome colored metals a dark shade of blue, hence the name. It is done to make the metal less glaring when you shoot in the day, and to protect the barrel and the other parts from oxidation and other types of deformities. However, normal wear and tear, especially so for those who hunt and use their guns a lot, will erode this protective coating over a period of time.
We provide barrel bluing services for your firearms to take away the hassle and potential danger of doing it yourself in an unsafe or dangerous environment. As a safety notice, we remind our customers that Gun Blue is a very toxic and highly dangerous chemical and should be handled seriously. If you think you're experienced enough to try it, or would like to gain some experience doing it, do drop by and have a chat with our armourer to compare notes. We also sell Gun Blue as an off-the-shelf item.

PERIODIC OVERHAUL
Firearms, just like almost everything that's mechanical, requires cleaning, oiling and brushing on a regular basis to ensure that it remains in the most optimal working order when you need it work. Of course, the normal tolls of human experience tells us that most people either forget or more commonly don't take the time to do this until and unless the gun stops working according to the way they want. In our experience, this may lead to the firearm breaking down at the microscopic level (seriously!) and a costly repair fee for something that could have been easily avaoidable.
It is therefore advisable that you clean the barrel of your firearms after every time you use it, nothing too serious, just a good, hard brush along the entire length, and oil the metal parts to avoid rust. Bring your firearm in for an inspection with your local firearms repairer or if you're in KL, to our shop, and we'll give it a thorough examination and make sure everything is working the way it's supposed to be. It'll save you from answering those difficult questions when the time comes for the police annual inspection.
